WOZUWOZUWOZU. Schauspielhaus, 16 April (premiere)

The German artist Anna Viebrock creates unusual productions that make the spectator revisit them in their mind again and again, long after the performance. The whole thing is unlike anything experienced at any other stage show; it is well worth preparing mentally for a Viebrock production by getting ready to accept completely different rules of theatre-watching.
Anna Viebrock earned her reputation of a theatre genius working with the equally brilliant Swiss director Christoph Marthaler, building grand memory spaces filled with layers upon layers of time. As the new Millennium dawned, she started to stage theatre productions on her own, both creating set and costume designs and directing; in this role, Viebrock has collaborated with Schauspielhaus Zürich, the Berlin HAU, Opéra Nationale de Paris and Theater Basel.
Her new production entitled WOZUWOZUWOZU is based on Heinrich Böll's Billiards at Half Past Nine.
