László Moholy-Nagy: Retrospective. Schirn Kunsthalle, through 7 February
Marking the 90th anniversary of the Bauhaus school, an exhibition of works by one of its representatives, the Hungarian-born László Moholy-Nagy. Through the 170 examples of his art (photographs, paintings, sculptures, films, set designs, etc.) on view, the show provides an insight into the creative career of a 20th-century icon, tracing the stages of its development. The theories posed by László Moholy-Nagy, concerning art as a testing ground for new forms of expression, are still considered very much relevant.
