Francesca Woodman, Palazzo della Ragione, until October 24

Despite her premature death at the age of 22 due to suicide, Francesca Woodman (1958-1981) has left a lasting mark on the world of photographic art. An extensive retrospective of 116 photographs and five video recordings by this American artist provides a glimpse into her emotional and turbulent state of mind, and her fascination with the beauty of the human body.

In most of Francesca Woodman's black-and-white photographs, the central subject is a nude or partially clad female model - quite often, the artist herself.
