Sam Taylor-Wood presents at this exhibition both her world-renowned and completely new video and photographic works, including a world premier video art work, "3 Minute Round" with participation of the famous Ukrainian boxers, the Klitschko brothers. The exhibition includes also artworks shown at the Ukrainian Pavilion at the 2007 Venice Biennale.
Sam Taylor-Wood, who once gained recognition being part of the legendary group Young British Artists, last autumn, presented her solo exhibition at the gallery White Cube after four years of silence. Keynote themes of her works have always been death, loss and solitude. Despite of the artist's contemporary language, the director of PinchukArtCentre and the curator of the particular exhibition, Petro Doroshenko, traces in her works influences of Dutch nature morte and renaissance painting.
