The third album of the singing actress is dedicated to the thin line between life and death. The unusual sounds featured in the title track of the IRM album are actually the „music" of the MRI scanner (IRM in French) which Charlotte Gainsbourg had to repeatedly listen to during her treatment. Do bear this in mind: Charlotte Gainsbourg's music only appears to be typically French in its lightness and artlessness: it hides lots of thrills and excitement. The experience of listening to Gainsbourg's latest album could even be compared to that of watching Antichrist, the shocking film by Lars von Trier; for her role in the picture Charlotte Gainsbourg won the Best Actress award at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.
