Aram Khachaturian Museum

In 1982, a memorial museum dedicated to the great Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian opened in Yerevan. In the 1970s when the idea of the tribute was first conceived, the composer personally made an active contribution to the project, later bequeathing his scores, letters, piano and a great number of personal belongings to the museum. The museum is housed in an annex to what used to be Khachaturian's house and has now been converted into an interesting concert venue that regularly hosts musical recitals. The building likewise houses a vast CD library and a workshop for restoration and repair of violins.
