Regina Restaurant

Author: Gunita Kakteniece0 COMMENTS

Regina Restaurant & Guest House is located just a short walking distance from Baan Orapin hotel, away from typical tourist tracks. Maybe that's why it is favored by no-frills, yet active and stylish clientele, mostly young people. Sited on the very bank of Ping River, the family-owned restaurant features a lovely sight of boats, sliding by. A fantastic ambience! A visit of this spot seems like a charming journey into the almost a hundred years old Thailand's history - precisely that is the age of the building, housing it. To reach the restaurant, you have to pass through a smallish, time-worn shop and inside the garden you are met by local cats, loafing freely among the tables. Just ten altogether, the tables are under the open sky and a meal is cooked and served by the hosts themselves. The mother, the son and even the granny of the family are bustling in the kitchen. Menu - not very vast, yet a fantastic, authentic ambience easily compensates for it!
