Field restaurant

Having recently earned its first Michelin star, Field restaurant is currently one of the most talked-about places on the Prague food scene, so, if you plan on lunching or supping here, it’s recommended that you make your reservations well in advance. Field also happens to have one of the cleverest window dressers in Prague – their front window display features an arsenal of gardening tools, from pitchforks and trowels to scythes and rakes.

The inside, however, is quite ascetic – white walls, simple wooden tables, a brightly-coloured accent piece here and there, and subtle video projections crawling across the ceiling. “Free-range dining” is the restaurant’s motto, which is basically their take on providing a relaxed, non-stuffy atmosphere for fine dining.

Field works with local farmers, so the menu is exceedingly seasonal in nature. Dishes are served with a healthy dose of innovation, but there is absolutely nothing artificial in terms of flavours. As they say themselves, they take what comes from the field and simply enhance it. Take note that Field does not shy away from powerful flavours and unusual combinations.
