Murano Urban Resort

A fingerprint instead of a key, practically endless variations of light in the room, a lobby that looks like a place in Kubrick's Space Odyssey - perfectly white: white walls, white leather sofas -, a glass dome with a view of the slightly hazy Paris skies overhead. A few metres wide built-in fireplace with real, live little fires. A few steps farther - a bar that looks a bit like a box of coloured blocks. A wooden counter of impressive length and walls panelled with coloured felt squares in blue, red, violet, green, pink and yellow shades. A plasma screen above the counter with amoeba-like tiny creatures moving to the rhythms of ambient music. Your cup of coffee is served on a dark grey tile, your cake - on a proportionally smaller one. Murano Oriental Resort is a hotel for those who love adventurous design, although high technologies sometimes fail, and the fingerprint key does not always deliver.
