Kuzina

An excellent place for a lunch - a two-storey restaurant with a roof terrace: everything in white and wood, an open kitchen in front of which a glass floor with an installation of an old and dusty wine cellar creates a very convincing illusion. The place also has a huge open-air terrace; one of the floors houses a makeshift art gallery amidst a few restaurant tables (the display is changed on a regular basis).
The restaurant serves modern, contemporary Greek food quite strongly influenced by other cultures. The plating style and service are both eye-catching and intriguing, demonstrating serious attention to detail. At the same time the place is free of any sort of white-tablecloths pretentiousness or restrictions imposed by a dress code, etc. The ambience is lively and vibrant.
Kuzina is located on Adrianou Street which is well worth checking out from one end to another: it is jam-packed with restaurants and bars and, although the proximity of the Acropolis makes itself felt in the shape of a couple of touristy shops, this is by no means a traditional tourist street.
