Café Kör

If a café can be called a second home, then for many in Budapest, this is Café Kör. Although it does not have a cosy, bistro-style interior, this café is always full of people and bustling with conversation. Most of the patrons seem to know each another and one might say that Budapest's entire social life can be found in concentrated form here. Excellent, traditional food prepared with loving care - just like at home. Furthermore, the café serves large portions at friendly prices. The regular clientele already know the menu by heart, but there is always a surprise with the menu of the day. Café Kör is located near St. Stephen's basilica and is one of the rare places in the city where credit cards are not accepted.
