Művész Coffee House

One of Budapest's oldest cafes, it is located just off the opera house, in Andrássy Street, one of the city's most beautiful boulevards. Művész Coffee House, opened in 1884, has still retained its original charm: wide Neo-Baroque windows, marble tables and opulent 19th-century chandeliers. It is dominated by an Old World flavour - somewhat dark and subdued, dressed in dark brown and black - the perfect place for an intimate tête-à-tête. There are not too many seats here; on the other hand, it might be just the reason why the place feels so cosy.

Andrássy út 29.
