Antica Locanda Solferino

Antica Locanda is a spots that you wouldn't expect finding in a design metropolis like Milan. It gives an impression of a genuine oasis for romantic-minded girls. Rooms fit out with antique furniture and walls adorned with Daumier's lithographs conjure up a feel of the 19th century Milan. It features floral curtains, needle-lace doilies and lamp shades, and small balconies, covered with flowers and greenery. Yet in spite of frills and fancies, everything is in good balance, without getting too sugary. Anothertravelguide.com would nominate a room number 10 as its favorite. Light and spacious with a small green balcony, it offers an entirely different panorama of Milan. The small 11-room hotel is set in the very heart of the Brera district, just a short way from Corso Como and Corso Garibaldi, the Duomo di Milano, and the legendary Golden Triangle is right there as well.
