Hotel Straf

Hotel Straf is one of the most amazing designer hotels in Milan. Its highlights are original design, utmost functionality and innovative interior solutions. In spite of rather coarse and cold materials, its décor oozes a pleasant coziness. Most probably, it's because the handwriting of its creator, Vincenzo de Cotiis, can be easily traced among the polished brass plaques, steel, stone, concrete and glass. He is also a founder and designer of the famous label, Haute.
Hotel Straf, hiding on a tiny side street, a short way from the Duomo Cathedral, offers an original alternative to a traditional designer hotel concept. It features naked concrete floors and slightly chipped at the edges concrete walls, adorned with some misshapen steel elements. Original and surprising décor details catch your sight on every step, be it a wall decorated with glass lenses, as if casually crisscrossed glass panes or an ostentatious wall painting - everything is tailor-made for Hotel Straf and produces its coarse elegance. Every smallest detail is perfectly thought out, including natural linen textiles and pottery.
Happy hour at the hotel's restaurant sets in from 18.00 to 19.00, offering drinks for considerably friendlier prices and snacks, like salads, sandwiches, pickled vegetables, olives, French fries, etc., completely for free. The whole place vibrates with its lively and delicious atmosphere. Even the soft mattresses outside on the street are all occupied - just lounge there and savor!
