Dom Literatorov

Dom Literatorov shares its owner with Pushkin while outclassing it style- and quality-wise. (The fact, obviously, is reflected by the pricelist.) A beautiful décor of an old mansion house: wood panelling, carpets, an authentic fireplace. Excellent service. As customary in many Moscow restaurants, a stool for the lady's handbag is provided. Soup is wheeled out in a special tureen baked from rye dough. Outstanding Russian-French cuisine. This is a place with a history of its own; after all, it used to be the gathering place of the Russian intellectuals. Today the crowd is somewhat different, and yet the aura of the old times has not been completely lost. The designer's hand is hardly noticeable in the décor: the historical style has been respected to the smallest detail. Everything has been lovingly preserved and renovated while creating an excellent restaurant at the same time.
