Paul Smith Curiosity Shop

Author: Anothertravelguide.com0 COMMENTS

While some designers are known to publish serious monographs, Paul Smith, the most successful British fashion classic of all times, released an amusing little book in 2001 - a cross section of his numerous sources of inspiration titled You Can Find Inspiration in Everything (and if You Can't, Look Again!). Many of Smith's colleagues have been busy designing not only lines of clothes but also objects of interior decoration; quite recently Smith, not entirely a stranger to this hobby either, opened a small shop in London where a part of his sources of inspiration can be viewed close-up - and also bought. It's all there - XVII century mirrors, dolls' houses, a collection of Domus Magazine (starting with issues of 1940), antique chairs, lamps, tableware, in other words - the most unimaginable knickknacks and objects collected by the designer during his travels and forays to antique shops. Even if you don't buy anything, it's guaranteed to make you smile.
