A golf course in Egypt, again created by Gary Player - one of the great threesome (Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer). Presently rated as one of the world's most outstanding golf courses, it merges almost incredibly with the surrounding desert landscape, featuring emerald greens, water obstacles and just amazing Red Sea view. Playing there, gives an impression of walking along the desert, with green oasis occasionally coming into sight. Some holes are seated at the very sea shore and the course itself has a quite pronounced relief. Wind, however, may play against you. I was lucky to have a still day, yet, with sand swirling about, it might be very difficult, almost impossible, to carry on.
The golf course is located in a Soma Bay resort, featuring several hotels, smaller villas, SPA and lots of opportunities to engage in numerous water sport activities.
