From 2005, the Yerevan History Museum, dedicated to the city's material and intellectual culture from the ancient times to the present day, is housed in a new building, part of the Yerevan City Hall complex. The vast collection of art and communal history objects is divided into three themed sections, highlighting three major periods in the history of the city of Yerevan.
