If you're in the city on a weekend, your first night must certainly include the Music Hall. It's a Beirut institution, and an evening of cabaret that runs the gamut from fusion to jazz, pop, and stand-up comedy will entertain you until dawn, quarter-hours of live music followed by brilliantly mixed recordings until the live music starts up again. If you've the stamina, the later (or earlier!) it gets, the wilder - people dance on the tables and sofas and you'll be able to savour the essence of this city's famous night-life... as long as you don't forget to get to the airport the next day!
