New places to go in Beirut sprout like mushrooms after rain, and the latest to flower are instantaneously trendy. A shop called the Good Life, for example, lives up to its name. The owner who opened this stylish store is a fashion designer still studying in London. The shop has two distinct parts divided by a glass wall that's decorated with greenery; on the one side there's George Salhab's own collection and on the other limited edition footwear, accessories and toys. Instead of the usual booths to try things on, there's a row of exquisitely designed toilets. Get on the pot, perhaps, and try to figure out if you want to wear Nike or Converse this season.
