Cafe Merve, Dushanbe

Author: Anothertravelguide.com

Café Merve is unpretentious yet loved by local people Turkish eatery. It boasts exceptional quality food and friendly prices. It's a right spot to drop in, if you crave good shashlik, and locals approve that it is the best one in the city. A huge meat stand is sited at the end of the hall, and the choice is up to you - would it be lamb ribs or small pieces with fat or without, chicken wings, liver, minced meat or something else - there is more than you can imagine! They make their own bread and pizzas, cook excellent aubergines and offer fresh salads. Although the space is very big and in summer tables are placed outside as well, you'll find it difficult to find a vacant one in the lunchtime. It should be mentioned that no alcohol is served at Cafe Merve, therefore no beer or wine to go with your meal either.
