Palace Von Kaufman is a recently opened privately-owned hotel; at first sight at least, the light, laconic and aesthetically perfect decor of the rooms (the hotel offers 49 rooms and 3 suites) makes it look like an almost incredible find against the general background of the hotel scene in Tashkent. Palace Von Kaufman offers a pool and a nice courtyard with a restaurant and even a kitchenette equipped for individual cooking, should the necessity arise. The only slightly puzzling element in the whole setup is the security guy whose vocabularly seems to be peppered with gems like „rooms-shmooms" and „casino-fasino"... Still, one cannot ask for everything, and, generally speaking, Palace VonKaufman is a pretty good alternative to the above-mentioned Dedeman Silk Road.
