You may find Manas Art Cafe slightly puzzling at first sight: two yurtas erected in the middle of a tenement house yard; a small garden and a separate hall. However, as soon as you set foot inside the yurta, everything is forgotten: the neighbouring new block of flats, the pavement instead of the desert sand, the petrol-coughing four-wheel steeds driving past instead of camels... The decor is incredibly cosy and the menu is dominated by Kirghiz national cuisine: batter-fried horse meat and other peculiarities of ethnic gastronomy. A table for dinner should be booked in advance.
