Maison Delaneau, Antwerp
Antwerp values individuality in any of its numerous manifestations - be it fashion, art or gastronomy. Not for nothing small, charming lodgings have become a typical trait of the city, each taking pride its unique patina, style and ambiance. „Small is beautiful" is the motto of Maison Delaneau, a recent newcomer on the city's hotel scene. It comprises only eleven exclusive rooms, some featuring a fireplace, a Jacuzzi tub, a small private garden or even a sauna. Its minimalistic décor, dominated by natural materials and modern technologies, permeates the whole place with a tranquil Zen atmosphere. To emphasize its exceptional character, the lodging houses a small spa, pampering its visitors with cosmetics of British cult brand REN. One of the owners of the new hotel is Luc Dheedene, who has created two of Antwerp's most sought after addresses - Verso and Martini Bar.
