Antika, Hvar, Dalmatia

Author: Anothertravelguide.com

Almost untouched by tourists and absolutely authentic therefore, Stari Grad of Hvar Island is considered to be one of the oldest towns in Europe. The restaurant Antika exudes the same ancient vibe as the town itself and spoils its guests with the most delicious food in the neighborhood. Its menu is handwritten on aged sheets of paper, stitched together and pegged on a special stand on each table and every detail is carefully thought. Some archaic items give the impression of being dug up in a dusty corner of attic under clutter accumulated for lifetimes. Charming air fills the place and it almost seems that the old, silent stone walls are about to whisper a long-kept secret...
