Inland located Zagreb can boast only a very few seafood restaurants, yet Korčula tavern definitely ranks as the best one of its kind. Operating for 60 years already, this Croatian "konoba" serves only the freshest and finest products brought directly from the sea, one-and-a-half hour ride away. They cook simple and delicious fare - pastas, risotto and well-grilled fish.
Its otherwise modest interior is decorated with an authentic Korčula island fishing gear -fishing nets, ship lanterns, rudders and other typical items, reminding of the efforts required to provide those delicious sea products to the restaurant table.
