Socle du Monde – Involver, HEART, September 15 – Jaunuary 6, 2013
When Piero Manzoni wrote to his family "I am in paradise" in 1960, the groundwork for Socle du Monde - Involver as a concept was confirmed. The enterpreneur Aage Damgaard, who invited Manzoni to Herning, did not aim at creating an art collection for a museum but to set up collaboration between artists and enterpreneurs. That is the spirit that is still alive, when HEART from the 15th September onwards will present several collaberations between contemporary artists and businesses. The Title Socle du Monde - Involver originates from the title of Manzonis artwork Socle du Monde, 1961, when the earth' socket was created in Herning. Involver traces to the Danish word for the English 'involve' and thus clearly states the engaging intention of the exhibition. You can follow the recent news and activities until the opening on:
