Every city has its special spots, and Café Ekberg is among such in Helsinki. Located at the same address since 1932, it certainly deserves a title of Grand Dame of Helsinki café scene. And indeed, a cup of coffee and a famous Napoleon cake was a daily delight of any self-respectful lady of those days. The history of Café Ekberg reaches into more remote history, in fact. It was founded in 1852 by F. E. Ekberg, and his descendants, who have opened a bakery now, carry on with his work till this very day.
