As soon as you enter the place, you get this sort of homey feeling, even though you realise perfectly well that the "home" belongs to Lagerfeld and, like everything that has anything at all to do with Keiser Karl, has been painstakingly staged. The Lagerfeld Gallery offers bits and pieces from the designer's collections, Fendi accessories. The interior was created by the well-known French designer Andrée Puttman.
The Lagerfeld Gallery is actually a creative laboratory more than a shop. Once in a while a Lagerfeld photo exhibition is held here. A selection of various art books - whatever the Maître has deemed interesting at the time - is displayed next to a collection of handbags. You'll find also the omnipresent Interview magazine, often featuring Lagerfeld as a photographer or guest editor.
