Lil Shop, Berlin

Author: Anothertravelguide.com

In 2004, the Japanese label Comme des Garçons surprised the fashion world with an entirely new concept - the so called guerilla stores, opening up in the most extraordinary places, like old buildings destined for demolition. Such stores have been put up in Berlin, Barcelona, Warsaw, all in all 20 locations across the world. Interior décor was reduced to minimum and the offer comprised a colorful mixture of past years' CDG collections for much lower prices than the current ones. Soon this idea in the shape of pop-up stores was taken over by many other luxury brands. The very first CDG "partisan store" was opened in Berlin and it's the only one from this already closed project that has advanced to being a permanent shop. Named Lil Shop, it has changed its address now and is located on the brimming with stylish shops and art galleries Brunnenstrasse, Berlin Mitte.
Small in size, it is like a huge treasure chest for Comme des Garcons and Junya Watanabe aficionados. There you'll be able to find clothing and accessories of the previous years' collections, marvelous vintage gems with as much as 50% off the initial price and Comme des Garcons perfumes.
The entire offer is put together with a fine collectors taste and supplemented with unique items from other Japanese labels, e.g., exclusive, 100% handmade Suzusan scarves.
Divided into two semi-separate areas - for men and women collections, Lil Shop has a function of an art gallery as well, once in a while housing different creative projects.
