Recently the new design concept store Stoffsüchtig opened its doors in Hamburg's most talked-about territory - HafenCity. The shop's name ambiguously encompasses almost every possible addiction. HafenCity, well on its way to completion, is the most ambitious town planning project in Europe and soon will become a new city within a city. And, if HafenCity itself is like a showroom of the latest architectural trends, then what Stoffsüchtig offers is the latest in fashion design. The shop serves as a platform for more than 40 of Europe's brightest young fashion designers. The interior corresponds to the style - industrially creative chaos, with old wooden packing cases serving as the shelving and simultaneously as the main design element. A variety of fashion events and exhibitions also take place at Stoffsüchtig.
