Pictures in Time. The Goetz Collection at Haus der Kunst, January 25 – June 15
For four years now, Munich's contemporary art space, Haus der Kunst, has been working together with one of the most influential contemporary art collectors of the current day, Munich-based Ingvild Goetz. The exhibition Pictures in Time is already their sixth cooperative project, and is a study on the relationships that exist between video and painting. The video-works that have been put on view reference genres of fine art painting - such as still-lifes and abstracts. Artists featured include Cyrill Lachauer, Kathrin Sonntag and Sam Taylor-Wood, among others.
