Fish Witte is a legendary and favourite fish eatery among Munich locals. The colourful restaurant-bistro can be found in a corner of the city's oldest and most famous market - Viktualienmarkt, and is almost always packed to the rafters at lunch time. The reason for this is Fish Witte's unbelievably delicious fish soup (14.50 EUR). Its bouillon is so tasty that you might be tempted swallow it all in one gulp, along with the mountain of seafood resting in your bowl. If you wash that down with, for example, a glass of white wine (3-5 EUR) and a few oysters, then you will be left with the feeling that you have already had a perfect day, even though it is only halfway through.
