Theresa Grill is a great place to have lunch while taking a break from enjoying art. The restaurant is located in the Schwabing district, just a five-minute walk from Munich's museum quarter. The restaurant is in a remarkably inexpressive office building, right next to a colourful little store, which has an excellent stock of organic beer. The grill's interior is set in an urban canteen style - industrial, slightly robust, but also very cosy. Rough and sturdy wooden tables, combined with chairs that are almost all different from each other, create a slight feeling of chaos, albeit well-designed. Metal, steel and wood fit well together with contemporary design lamps, and in the middle of all this, the odd antique to give a slightly retro feel and add a bit of extra spice.
Theresa Grill specializes in grilled meat dishes, with an exquisite menu. The daily specials are fantastic and everything is exactly as it should be. You are unlikely to find such a well-prepared steak anywhere else. In addition, the waiters can tell you about the meat on offer, its origins and method of storage, and anything else you'd like to know - as passionately as a seasoned sommelier would talk about wine. For example, you might learn that the meat at this establishment is kept in a special terroir, as Austrian legislation allows it to be kept in storage longer than in Germany, and so forth. However, despite specializing in steaks, Theresa Grill is also a fine destination for a light lunch, with a wide variety of salads and fish on offer. The restaurant has a good wine list and friendly prices, and the waiters display a pleasing attention to detail. For example, bread is served in elegant grey linen bags.
