The small and homey Gerlóczy Rooms de Lux is, in terms of atmosphere, one of most charming accommodations in Budapest. The hotel is located in the heart of the historic Pest part of the city, in a residential building built in 1892, which has been turned into a 15-room hotel. There is somewhat of a Parisian feel to the small square by the hotel, named after the first Mayor of Budapest and to the hotel café, which is always full of locals. The Parisian feel also extends to the hotel rooms with their high ceilings, small balconies, and mix of historical and modern design. The hotel has a very helpful staff, which only strengthens the personalized feel of the place. The room price is 90 EUR, not including breakfast.
