Italia Inside Out, Palazzo della Ragione, through 27 September, 2015
Whilst in Milan this summer, you can get a good look at all of Italy, and in various time periods and historical situations, to boot. The vast exhibition “Italia Inside Out” at the Palazzo della Ragione presents various visions and versions of Italy as experienced by numerous photographers. Subjects range from natural and urban landscapes, to scenes of dreams, hope and historical drama.
There are two parts to the exhibition – the first, called “Inside” (open until 21 June), features the work of Italian photographers; the second part, “Out” (1 July – 27 September), presents Italy through the lens of foreign photographers, such as Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908–2004), Herbert List (1903–1975), Robert Capa (1913–1954), and David Seymour (1911–1956), among others.
