Pasolini Roma. Palazzo delle Esposizioni, April 15 - June 20

Pasolini Roma is the story of legendary Italian film director, poet, writer, thinker, artist, journalist and communist Pier Paolo Pasolini (1922-1975) and his complex relationship with the Italian capital. Rome was not merely the city where Pasolini lived and made his films. It was also a place where he portrayed the full gamut of emotions, from love, passion and tenderness to hatred and violence. Pasolini tried to flee the city countless times, but it always insistently drew him back.

The exhibition is divided into six parts, starting with the day that Pasolini first arrived in Rome in 1950, and ending with his brutal murder in November of 1975, when his body was discovered on the beach at Ostia near the Italian capital (he had been run over several times with his own car). The circumstances surrounding his death remain a mystery, with some of his contemporaries going so far as to speculate that Pasolini might even have orchestrated his own murder.
