Peter Doig, Palazetto Tito – Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa, through 4 October, 2015

This is the first solo show in Italy for Scottish painter Peter Doig. All of the works exhibited were made especially for this event, and are on display for the first time. Doig works in a singularly intuitive manner, allowing each piece to develop naturally – sometimes even surprising himself with the end result. With his custom approach to colour and materiality, Doig has succeeded in creating his own personal visual history, as well as broadening the painterly canon. Over the last thirty years, Doig has acquired the reputation of being one of the most talented painters of his generation.
