Alla Botta is a typical Venetian wine-bar or a bacaro, much loved by locals. Simple and cozy, these bars are just great to have a glass of wine with some light snacks at very reasonable prices. Typically to any bacaro, Alla Botta is a small spot with just two rooms, a bar counter, wooden tables and chairs, and an authentic warm and homely ambiance. Small tables are placed tightly together, and it's always packed full with people. It offers a wide choice of fish dishes, both fresh and fried, and a fantastic, friendly service. Be sure to taste cuttlefish in black ink served with polenta (seppie in nero con polenta). The small eatery is sited near Rialto Bridge, yet it takes some efforts to find it. When you have reached San Bortolomeo square, first find a narrow street squeezed between the bank and Luisa Spagnoli shop, then pass by some public conveniences and finally turn to the right - and there it is! Hardly any occasional passersby would drop in there.
