La Furatola is located near San Barnaba square. A small and beautiful square has served as a location for several movies, one of them David Lean's "Summertime" (1955), starring Katharine Hepburn. A small Venetian family-owned eatery or trattoria is sited on the same name street and is a much favored address of the city, especially, if you have craving for fish food. It's a place where you can get a good quality, family-style food with no gastronomic frills, yet anything you take there is exceptionally fresh and delicious! As a digestive, La Furatola offers perhaps the best sgropin in the city, made with lemon sorbet, vodka and prosecco. A guidebook aptly describes it as Venetian equivalent of (legal) cocaine, therefore indulge it in moderation!
