DAD café is a small, Bohemian oasis on Miera iela, a street that has recently become a one of Latvia's main centres of creative activity. This café-club is in a constant flux of change, rapidly converting into an exhibition hall or improvised concert stage, in accordance with the needs of the moment. The live music evenings on Thursdays have already become a tradition, while during the day one can stop in for a tasty cream soup, hot sandwich or stuffed pancake over a glass of peppermint tea. Antique lamps with frilly lampshades and well-worn chairs form part of the décor, which may induce you to try to guess what the acronym DAD actually means. Perhaps "dance all day?"
