A visit to the Uzbekistāna restaurant is an experience in itself, for as soon as you cross the establishment's threshold, you will be transfixed by the sights and smells of an authentically Oriental setting. These provide a powerful influence on the senses, making it hard to believe that geographically, you are still in Riga and not in Uzbekistan.
The restaurant's delectable plov (lamb risotto) is expertly prepared in accordance with an Uzbek recipe, and will be served at your table from a kazan kettle by the chef himself. Before moving to Riga, chef Akbarov Atabek ran a number of legendary Uzbek restaurants in Moscow and his native Tashkent. Here he has continued to ensure that the traditional Uzbek bread and pastries are baked in an authentic tandir oven and that all of the spices are genuinely Oriental.
Following your meal, which is served with generous portions, you will feel not only sated, but may also wish to plan your next trip to Uzbekistan, or at least return to this restaurant some time in the near future.

I have written to the restaurant Uzbekistana, which I think is highly overrated - it looks nice but the food is nothing! No flavours, not special or interesting in any way - a very disappointing experience!
