One of the best Chişinău restaurants, very popular among the locals. It is not very easy to find: there is no sign on the façade or in the street. The only clue is the currently closed Starij Gorod restaurant: to find Grill House, you have to enter the gateway located immediately next to it. The essence of the eatery is aptly expressed by the writing on the napkins: We make vegetarians predators. The speciality of the menu is meat prepared in a thousand different ways. The seriousness of the concept is further signified by the basement kitchen with a number of mangals (Turkish-style barbeques) visible from the restaurant's dining hall. And yet the most cosy of all spots must be the stone-walled greenery-lined terrace with its simple wood tables. Grilled lamb is served on a small iron-shaped stove with smoking coal. Excellent fresh salads prepared from a great diversity of vegetables (especially during the season when all ingredients are fresh and locally grown); perfect service. Grill House is definitely one of those places you will feel like revisiting if you are staying at least for a week.
