La Taifas serves the best national cuisine in Chişinău. The homey decor is a stylised take on the interior of a Moldovan farmstead. As befits an establishment of this sort, the waiters are dressed in traditional national costumes. Walls, adorned with photos of the various luminaries who have graced the restaurant with their presence, still manage to stop short of exaggerated kitsch. Excellent service and great food: vegetables - aubergines, bell peppers, tomatoes - prepared in every possible manner, as well as possibly the best grilled lamb you will ever taste in Chişinău. We would not recommend any of the fish dishes - fish is definitely not the speciality of Moldovan cuisine and you may be in for an unpleasant surprise.

Absolutely Awesome!!!My husband,who is American, was speechless(in the good way!)And the music .... The conductor of National orchestra plays for you... Only in Moldova,only in Chisinau...
