The Warsaw Museum of Ethnography is quite possibly one of the most colourful museums worldwide. The permanent exhibition is dedicated to various aspects of the Polish people's life: the museum holds huge collections of Polish traditional folk costumes and objects of folk art and crafts, as well as a separate exhibition dedicated to all kinds of folk festivities and celebrations. The other half of the museum holdings comprises collections of Latin American, African, Australian and Oceanian art. On holidays, for instance, at Easter, the museum is a venue for folklore concerts and artisan fairs where handmade ceramics, textiles, woodcarvings etc. are sold.
