Miedzy Nami Cafe has become a meeting spot of Warsaw's creative crowd. Regardless of the day of the week, it's always packed with people. Most of them seem to know each other, and it may be slightly confusing at the beginning, as the otherwise friendly waiters do not rush to find a table for you. Miedzy Nami features a democratic, almost non-existent interior decoration, somewhat weatherworn and robust. It spreads over two floors, comprising a café and a bar. No visible signboard marks the place, meaning that hardly anyone drops in there by chance. Miedzy Nami Cafe is sort of an informal centre for carrying out a variety of ideas, activities and exhibitions. It also publishes stylish, quite unconventional magazine-size guidebooks to European cities - Paris, Roma, Berlin, London, etc., releases its own music CDs and books. The Tastes of Warsaw cook-book, a collection of recipes by the best chefs of the city, belongs to the latter. Miedzy Nami offers an excellent and friendly-priced menu - e.g., a large serving of delicious mushroom soup costs an average of 2 euro. Currently, a small Miedzy Nami-style bread & breakfast is under construction to be opened in the same building, while located nearby there is a tiny soap shop, owned by the same people. In summertime, an adjacent parking lot is turned into a lovely open-air terrace, adding even greater charm to this place. It is set in Bracka Street, which is well worth exploring. Next door to Miedzy Nami, you will discover a very good wine bar & shop, Green Coffee - a Polish version of Starbucks - and a sushi bar.
