The most exciting European golf courses appear to be located in Portugal. The country was a genuine discovery to me and one of my most amazing travel experiences of the recent time. Vale de Lobo Ocean Golf Course, for its part, perfectly blending with the magnificent landscape, features a steep ocean shore, reddish rocks and brilliant, white sand bellow. Some holes are positioned at the very precipice - 50 to 60 meters above the ocean! Bright azure of the water, blue sky, glowing green grass and red cliffs create a primordial harmony, worth to experience. There are numerous golf courses in Portugal, yet, for professionals I would like to suggest San Lorenco, constantly ranking among the top ten European golf courses, or equally enjoyable Vilamour course. It is wise to book a tee-time in advance - no less than one month ahead.
