A strategically perfect location: not far from the National Theatre and Piata University, as well as Rossetya ((9 Str. Dimitrie Bolintineanu), an excellent restaurant serving Romanian cuisine, highly recommended by locals - not to mention the historical Lipscani neighbourhood. K+K Hotel Elisabeta is situated in a small side-street, squeezed in between two buildings that seem to have long since lost their former splendour. In a way the hotel with its modern and contemporary design and welcoming staff is an embodiment of the new Bucharest. The rooms are not large but still adequately spacious (you won't have to complain of being boxed in) and come with wireless internet connection and excellent bed linen. It's worth making it clear that you would like to stay in an upstairs room with a view of the street as you make the reservation, otherwise you will end up staring at the opposite building or the not particularly appealing yard. Lovely breakfast is served in the basement of the hotel: you won't be able to resist the delicious buns even first thing in the morning.

Rates from EUR 195 for a double room
