Go there for a cup of coffee, and you will soon realise that you actually envy Bucharest for its knack for creating a seemingly authentic environment that will make you think that nothing has changed in this city since the 1930s. Well, maybe except the "wrapping" of the customers. A retro interior: wood chairs with Art Nouveau seat upholstery, an old coal iron and a gramophone on the windowsill, lampshades, black-and-white photographs of social occasions from the good old days, a lovely outdoor terrace, complete with wood-carved pillars and wood lanterns. Even the loo surprises you with Art Nouveau rose motif tiles and themed photographs. Everything seems authentic to the core. You couldn't wish for a better place to enjoy your afternoon cup of coffee or glass of wine. The menu is reminiscent of an old newspaper or perhaps a festival booklet found in the old family album. The only thing that seems slightly puzzling is the photos of the dishes that would definitely be more at home in a bistro.
