This is one of the best wine shops in Bucharest, located in a late 1900s shopping passage that is actually worth visiting in itself - a string of closely spaced tiny shops. Look for Galeria Vinexpert close to the entrance, on the left side. It is actually a small vinotheque doubling as a wine bar and offers tasting opportunities along with a selection of appetisers. An excellent and well planned collection of Romanian wines (pay special attention to red wines); practically all wine regions of the country are well represented. 1998 and 1999 vintage wines in unwashed bottles with the authentic sealed corks and certificates - outstanding collectable wines for 65 and 69 lei (EUR 17-18). The well informed shop assistant speaks excellent English and will tell you all you want to know about each of your chosen wines, packing them properly in a cardboard box. Credit cards, however, are not accepted, like in so many other Bucharest shops - only debit cards.
